Bel Am-azing!

While the new breed of Bel Ami models undoubtedly do not measure up (no pun intended) to the earlier days of Lukas Ridgeston and Sebastian Bonnet, the book itself is a tour du force from Rick Day and no one who appreciates his brilliant work or the beauty of the Bel Ami boys should be without it. Do not be put off by the price tag - this book is worth it's price and more. You will turn every beautiful page in eager anticipation of what comes next, and Rick Day does not disappoint once. On the contrary, he succeeds in making you (the spectator) feel as if you were part of the whole experience of creating and capturing these fantastical images that play with all your senses. In true Bel Ami style, everyone and everything are beautiful. Long live Rick Day! Long live Bel Ami!

Bel Ami Boys as enhanced by Rick Day

As a taster for his much-anticipated new book RICK DAY NYC MEETS BEL AMI the calendar released earlier proved an appetizer with an example of twelve of the models from that book. As expected, that teaser was a valid promise a very spectacular volume. Rick Day seems to grow more eloquent with each step in his career. His work has been published in numerous publications such as Elle, Details, Teen Vogue and GQ and he has shot advertising campaigns for Gap, Ritani and Rufskin. When not traveling, he is shooting the hottest faces in the industry – and for those who know the Bel Ami models - perfect in youth and body and attributes beyond eyes and looks - the results for this collection live up to that standard. In a generation where beauty is obsession and sex is a product, he has cataloged the world's sexiest exhibitionists in their most intimate moments.
Some of the perfectly fit models are subtly nude while others are semi nude with each in restful inviting repose as only Rick Day knows how to capture that late afternoon ennui feeling. This is a daring collection for Rick as many of the models, revealing their youthful appetites, are in a state of full tumescence. The interesting aspect of how Rick deals with these hunks is the manner in which he doesn’t focus on the excited area but instead simply makes it an accoutrement of being young and ever-ready! Worth every penney

Wow. This is quite an impressive body of work from Rick Day. If you are a fan of Bel Ami then this will definitely satisfy your eyes. The boys in a natural background created beautiful contrasts between flesh-tones and colorful settings of nature. This couldn't have been done better.
